Supreme Court suspends Balochistan High Court ruling on Quetta DHA:

The Supreme Court on 16 March 2021 suspended the order of the Balochistan High Court in which some of the provisions of the Defence Housing Authority Quetta. The High Court also proclaims that the Defence Housing Authority could not allow developing its own master plan. Also, they will not be able to perform other municipal functions. Makhdoom Ali Khan, the senior lawyer, says that the argument of the Balochistan High Court was that the DHA Quetta act was in conflict with the acquisition of land since 1894. The Court proclaims that the Defence Housing Authority was just like a non-government agency. The acquisition of property by DHA would be a violation of the constitutional law to property.
