RDA grand operation against Murree Illegal Housing Societies

Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) announced a mega operation against illegal housing schemes in Murree, district of Rawalpindi. Crackdown is expected to begin after March 8, 2020.

Concerned government departments have already started an inspection. Aim of the scrutiny is to keep record of illegal entities. DG RDA Ammara Khan considers this operation as Jihad against unlawful housing societies. She also notified that entry gates, site offices, boundary walls & all other constructions would be demolished. Moreover, this operation will lead to arrest of owners of these illegal societies as well.

RDA said it will take the assistance of City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Ahsan Younas in case of opposition. Several residential schemes are declared illegal. DG RDA has also advised people to refrain from investing in such illegal housing schemes in Murree.
