Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has decided to initiate the construction of commercial skyscraper at Murree Road. These edifices will also host Rawalpindi Development Authority official offices.

As per news sources, this high-rise building will be sprawled over an area of 13-Kanals. It is situated right next to Municipal Library. Public-private partnership mode will be used in this project.

Purpose Of Skyscrapers

Talking to the news sources, Rawalpindi Development Authority Chairman Arif Abbasi said this project envisions to increase revenue. Further, this generated revenue would be used in the development of projects, under the supervision of RDA. Since, civic body lacks the funds to carry out more than 7 projects now. Although government has announced a lofty amount for these projects but it is not released yet.

Layout Plan Of Skyscrapers

According to news sources, this building is expected to be 8 floors high. First 3 floors will be used for commercial activities, while top 3 floors will be occupied by RDA offices.

Furthermore, for reservation of land, RDA has already consulted the Land & Revenue Department. Meanwhile, RDA also planned to acquire additional land. Consultants for PC-1 will be hired soon.
