Rawalpindi Ring Road construction work to begin soon

Rawalpindi Ring Road construction work expected to begin in the upcoming months. Federal Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan said the ultimate priority of the Federal Government is to combat the situation prevalent due to Covid-19. For that reason, the construction work postponed till the next fiscal year.

The government had approved Rs 7 billion for the project for the financial year 2019-20 for the project. The amount was expected to release in August. However, keeping in view the present economic situation, the government has not released the amount yet.

As per news sources, Ghulam Sarwar said the government will disburse around Rs 500 million instead of 7 billion in near September. Furthermore, all the arrangements have been completed for now.
