On account of New Tax Amnesty Scheme 2019, more than 92 thousand individuals have declared their hidden assets in regime of PTI Government. It overall added 42 billion to the national treasury in a short span of only 2 months.

The overall collected amount is Rs.3.82 trillion while Rs.4.15 trillion of amount was set as a target in tax collection. As per news sources, Rs.6 billion comes from declaring foreign assets & incomes. Meanwhile, mostly new filers availed this scheme to whiten their assets.

Furthermore, Amnesty scheme is extended till August 2nd. It is expected that almost 1 lac people will avail this scheme by the deadline & the overall collected amount is expected to cross Rs.60 billion.
