Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) asked government of Punjab to establish underground electricity provision system in Rawalpindi. The issue was raised by task force team.

Reportedly, Chairman PHA Asif Mehmood chaired a meeting of 11- member task force. In a meeting, members identified the issue of unpleasant web of electric wires at city’s main areas. The main aim of the meeting was to finalize the Terms of References (TORs).

It would be responsibility of task force to pinpoint the areas that immediately need uplifting. Meanwhile, Task Force is eligible to request any help regarding the feasibility study and planning of any beautification venture.

The concerned authority is now waiting for Punjab government to officially approve the TORs so that task force will initiate the “Join Hand with PHA” campaign to enhance city’s beautification.
