Over 500 tenants of Islamabad rushed to various police stations to register themselves. Concerned officials reported on condition of anonymity.

As per news sources, after the arrest of high profile individuals in Islamabad, a wave of fear regarding arrest was seen among the tenants in Islamabad. Previously, inhabitants of different sectors were investigated by Islamabad Police. They were asked to provide basic information, occupation, birth place and other. But no serious attitude was shown from citizens’ side.

This results into arrest of more than 50 people that includes high profile individuals as well. It compiled tenants to voluntarily register themselves under Tenancy Act. Meanwhile, 50 individuals were arrested for violating section 144 of CrPC.
