Capital Development Authority (CDA) asked by Prime Minister Imran Khan to ensure the protection of green areas in Islamabad. This decision was taken in regards to new Master Plan of Islamabad

As per sources, PM had a meeting with members of commission responsible for redrafting master plan. He said that concerned departments should kept in mind the raising population influx in city while designing the plan. Illegal construction of buildings, encroachments is a result of increasing population in city. It further leads to shrinking of green bodies and areas in the city.

He expressed his deep concern regarding the present climate changes of country. Chairman CDA, Amer Ali Ahmed shared the recent progress with PM and other members.
