Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has cancelled the Initial Planning permission (IPP) of 4 housing societies on April 15, 2019, upon the orders of Division Commissioner and RDA Director General, Joudat Ayaz. This decision is applicable on following societies:
- Blue World City
- Taj Residencia
- Faisal Margalla City
- Multi Garden
Metropolitan Planning & Traffic Engineering Director of RDA, Jamshaid Aftab, reported that aforementioned societies started the process of selling plots without submitting layout plans & acquiring No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from RDA. IPP was granted to these societies in tenure of previous DG RDA.

On, Saturday, Joudat Ayaz has shown doubts regarding the IPP granted to these housing schemes. According to initial report were bound to restrict illegal construction & development work. They were directed to stop advertising & transactions over plots till the 6 month planning permission period. Moreover, the developers of the society were asked to submit a detailed layout plan as well. However, these commands were not taken seriously.
Arif Abbasi, RDA Chairman, said that an extensive monitoring plan will be launched in the near future to implement these new standards & operating measures. Spokesperson of RDA added that NOC numbers of sales & purchase forms of 41 authentic societies have been published. They are obliged to note down or will be considered illegal otherwise.
RDA advised citizens to not indulge in selling or purchasing of plots in these respective housing societies. Further, keep visiting the official website of RDA to check the updated information & status of housing societies.
