Rawalpindi Ring Road will feature Naya Pakistan Housing Programme’s (NPHP) local chapter along its side. Provincial Minister for Housing & Urban Development Mian Mehmood-ur-Rashid asked Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to find absolute land for this purpose. Moreover, Minister also directed RDA to present a formal proposal for the land acquisition in the time period of one week.

This decision taken in meeting attended by Parliamentary Secretary Housing, members of the provincial assembly (MPA) Malik Taimoor, MPA Wasiq Qayyum, RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza & other officials. Several other issues also addressed in this meeting including construction of the Rawalpindi Rind Road & the Leh Expressway.

The consultants of Rawalpindi Ring Road speculates to complete Project cycle-1 (PC-1) by March 2020. Meanwhile, Leh Expressway speculated to be completed by June 2020.
