Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) issued notice to 15 illegal projects situated on Peshawar Road & neighboring areas.
In the wake of a new drive of RCB, all the illegal projects & buildings were served with notices. RCB spokesperson Qaiser Mahmood said civic agency will boost & amplify its campaign in this regard. Owners of illegal buildings will serve as per legal obligations. Presently, notice issued to building situated in below areas:
- Peshawar Road
- Farooqabad
- Usmania Colony
- Marble Factory area
- Quaid-e-Azam Colony
- Ahmedabad area
Particularly, this campaign started with effect of District and Sessions Special Consumer Court Judge Abdul Hafeez orders. He took notice of increasing illegal structures. Moreover, he directed Rawalpindi Cantonment Board, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), and Metropolitan Corporation Rawalpindi (MCR) to take serious action against this problem.

In addition, he said more than 75 residential building along with 15 commercial building approved by RCB in a single month of January. Also, all the building found built illegally will be demolished.
