Auction of New Blue Area Postpone by CDA

Capital Development Authority (CDA) in wake of recent outbreak of Coronavirus has to postponed the auction of New Blue Area. Previously, it was scheduled on April 14 to April 16, 2020.

As per news resources, this auction is speculated to generate PKR 30 Billion revenue. Plots on the G-9 side of Blue Area are also listed for auction. Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the location as well.

However, because of present situation due to the pandemic, the apex civic agency is thinking to postpone it. CDA spokesperson while talking to media said since there is complete lock down in Sindh & Punjab. Thus, there is minimal chances of investors from Sindh & Punjab that could reach Islamabad. When people are concerned with their health they will not take any interest in such events even if it is held on the scheduled dates, said senior officer.

Sources said that revenue generated from this auction would used in Naya Pakistan Housing Program.
