Capital Development Authority (CDA) started dissembling ramshackle Burma Bridge. However, the final approval for the construction of Burma Bridge is still kept in pipeline by cabinet division. The bridge was constructed in 1950.

Reportedly, the structure of bridge already was breaking into pieces. In order to avoid any mishap, authorities decided to dismantle it. Since, CDA has not yet received any confirmation regarding its construction. Whole dismantling procedure is expected to be finished in 15 days.

As per CDA Director, several motorcyclists from Lehtrar Road, Khanna, Ali Pur Farach, Kotli Sattiyan, Taramri and Nilore using this bridge. Meanwhile, the bridge is already dilapidated and season of monsoon is arrived. Thus, authorities got directives to dismantle it as soon as possible.
