CDA to devolve irrelevant ministries: PM
Prime Minister Imran Khan directed to devolve Capital Development Authority (CDA) departments. It is ordered to devolve all of the departments to relative federal ministries & divisions.
As per news sources, it is said that CDA work is limited to just look after the master plan of capital. Meanwhile, all other major function are disabled within jurisdiction if CDA. Thus, it is beneficial to devolve the agency for the better working of city. the details of devolution to concerned ministries is shared below

The other departments work under Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (MCI). Institutional Reforms Cell sent a letter to the Federal Secretary Ministry of Interior. It is also said that CDA should no longer acquire the private land for the development of new sectors but continue to complete its stalled sectors i.e. E-12, I-15, I-11, I-14 etc. preferably on public private partnership mode. Also, CDA is refrained from collection of property tax, tolls & user charges as the MCI is now the official regulatory body for this.
