CDA to operate Metro Bus Service to Islamabad International Airport
Capital Development Authority has decided to launch Metro Bus Service to New Islamabad International Airport. The pickup point starts from Peshawar Mor & will be extended till Airport.
CDA has designed an operational model of all the routes. The operationalization model scrutinized by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on CDA Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan. Meanwhile, Federal Government has given a go-ahead to CDA for this vital project.

News sources said that the model includes fleet acquisition, information technology services, security surveillance & AFC system acquisition. Moreover, operation & maintenance will be handed over to 4 different private contractors. CDA announced to buy 30 modern electrical buses that run between Islamabad International Airport & Peshawar Mor. CDA Chairman & Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Chief Commissioner Amir Ali Ahmed said that these environment-friendly buses will operate on electricity thus minimizing the pollution factor.
The fare estimated to PKR 100. However, it is not decided as yet. The construction work is expected to start in December, 2020.
