Malik Riaz held in Bahria Icon Tower reference case
Malik Riaz Chairman of Bahria Town summoned by NAB in Bahria Icon Tower reference case. Moreover, Zain Malik, his son in law along with others were also called on by the Accountability Court.
Bahria Icon Tower reference is a part of the fake accounts case in which Malik Riaz is involved. Malik Riaz was nominated and accused for the very first time in this case.
Bahria Icon Tower Case
This tower is a 62 storey skyscraper. It is entitled as Pakistan’s Tallest Building. It is situated on Arabian Sea coast in Clifton section. This land was related to Bagh Ibne Qasim reserved for amenity purposes. It overall caused almost PKR. 100 Billion loss to natural treasures.

- Khawaja Shafique

- Khawaja Badeeuz Zaman

Plea Bargain and NAB
In June 2019, Sajjad Abbasi, secretary works & services, stated that he particularly sold the aforementioned plot Dr Dinshaw Anklesaria. Later on, Dr Dinshaw Anklesaria sold the plot Malik Riaz. Thus, he is not directly involved in the land grabbing
In addition, Senior lawyer of Bahria Town legal team announced plea bargain where individuals can set themselves free after paying on an agreed amount to NAB. Thus, Malik Riaz may get acquitted under a plea bargain in this regard. However, the conviction was not waived under this plea process. Moreover, they were summoned on February 13, 2020.
