Capital Development Authority (CDA) asked by Builders & Developers Association (BDA) to seize the anti-encroachment drive in Islamabad’s Zone-V until final by-laws. Furthermore, they also demanded to unseal the seal edifices & plazas.

In a meeting of BDA, Chairman of Imarat Group of Companies, Muhammad Shafiq Akbar, said enormous investment is already done in this area. He asked for immediate solution to minimize the loss in investment. The respective area is hosting investment 0f more than 70 builders in more than 150 plazas, as per BDA Vice President.

Jamil Khaliq, BDA General Secretary, tagged this association as a chain between private builders & city managers. This body envisions to enhance the effectiveness of the real estate industry. As the protesters believed that countries foreign debts can be paid by real estate sector of Pakistan.

On the other hand, Shahid Masood, CDA Member planning, said CDA is taking this initiative due to Supreme Court directives. Supreme Court authorized CDA to regain the occupied land. Moreover, he assured that bylaws would be finalized before August. It will be subjected to Federal Cabinet for approval.
