LDA conducts operations against illegal construction of the Ferozepur Road

LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has undertaken an operation against unauthorized constructions and illicit commercial activities along Ferozepur Road, an area under strict regulation. Multiple illegal structures were sealed and demolished during this endeavor. The operation was led by Director of Town Planning VII, Syed Ali Abbas, under the oversight of Additional Director General Housing, Captain (R) Shahmeer Iqbal.

In the course of this operation, the LDA teams dismantled shutters that had undergone unauthorized alterations on Plot No. 622/5 D One. Similarly, illegal constructions were razed on Plot No. 283/2 B2. Additionally, a shutter was taken down due to unauthorized modifications on Plot No. 255/2 B One. Plot No. 55/17 B1 was sealed owing to encroachments.

A shutter encroaching upon Kacha Jail Road was demolished. The ongoing unlawful construction on a property near the Kacha Jail Road Flyover was brought down, including the illegal construction of a basement on a plot adjacent to the same flyover. The shutters of unauthorized commercial shops situated near Hammonat Factory on Ferozepur Road were also demolished.

Furthermore, buildings that had undergone construction or alterations along Ferozepur Road near Pak Arab were demolished. Ahmad Usman Mart on Ferozepur Road was sealed due to unauthorized commercial use or conversion. In a similar vein, Ali Pharmacy near Kahna faced closure due to unauthorized additions and alterations.
