Capital Development Authority (CDA), in wake of latest developments, has declared 8 illegal housing societies. The decision taken on May 12, 2019. Declared Illegal housing societies include:
- Ahmad Town
- Al-Hadeed Town
- Margalla Hills Valley
- MR Town
- Margalla Town
- Paradise Valley
- Margalla Valley
- Zakria Town
In Month of April, CDA has decided to review & update the master plan of Islamabad. As per latest notification, the aforementioned projects were developed without obtaining NOC from CDA. Thus, results in violation of Master Plan of Islamabad, 1960 provisions ICT (Zoning) Regulations, 1992 & Islamabad Building Regulation, 2005.

Ijaz Ahmed Sheikh, Urban Planning Director, notified that developers were asked to obtain NOC by fulfilling the mentioned criteria. But no such notices were taken seriously. He called these illegal constructions as illicit gain on the part of general public.
Moreover, these unlawful developments further leads to loss of general public hard-earned money & mental anguish as well. In addition, CDA has ordered to do not issue gas or phone connection to these illegal societies. These societies situated in sector D-14, D-15, and D-16 (partial), E-14 and E-15.
