Rawalpindi Ring Road has announced the date for bids opening & work orders. According to news sources, the project tenders are expected to be completed by June 30. Meanwhile, work orders to be issued between July 10 & July 15. It is decided to start the project as soon as possible.

The Federal Minister of Aviation, Mr Ghulam Sarwar Khan announced that Rawalpindi Ring Road length increased to 64 Km. it will start from Radio Pakistan and ends at Sangjani intersection. Explaining the master plan of Rawalpindi Ring Road, it is stated that commercial zone will be built along both side of the route.

The development work was stopped in lieu with Covid-19 pandemic. However, with present progress it is expected to be completed on 2023.
